In DeeCee...

These last two weeks have consisted of buying and building furniture from ikea and exploring/getting lost in DC. Let me tell ya, ikea stuffs is not easy to build...If Jen were not here to help me build my bed, I still be sleeping on the floor. My room is all set now, but the living/dining room area needs a little help. Ok ok, alot of help.

I have a job now! yay. I start Monday. I'll be a high school program coordinator at Asian American LEAD (Leadership, Empowerment, and Development). I'll be running SAT prep, tutoring, and recreational activities for high schoolers. My schedule is hard 10-7 Monday to Friday during the summer. Once the fall program starts it'll be 10-7 tues to Sat. The Saturday work day is so that we can have the kids for the full day. at some point they want to be open on Sundays! I hope I like it here!

The plan is DC for two years and then off to Caaaaliforniaaaa with Keith. Hopefully I get into a law school over there. Berkeley please? Don't think I have the slightest chance with Stanford!

It's funny because I have realized that I cannot commit to just any city for long nowadays. I'm always in the mood to live in a different place. so far, I have done nyc, boston (dur), philly and now dc. there's too much east coast in there.... altho my roomie considers dc the south?

alright philly and nyc next weeekend for omar and amber's bdays.

Dear xanga,

it's been so long. I've graduated did a mini world tour, gambled in vegas, and was the maid of honor at my cousin's wedding. On Monday, I am moving to DC for a new adventure. :) I keep saying it but it really will be new faces, new places, and new hopes! So I hope I won't be disappointed. And again I will say bye bye to Beantown, but I am sure I will be back to visit frequently. Philly and NYC are just around the corner.

so I have a couple of interviews there, hopefully something will pan out. perhaps the one that pays more, so that I can keep my social life. :)

Recap:

Paris: Always amazing and wonderful. A little bit chilly for May, but hey I've been there during that infamous heatwave and it was hot hot hot.

Thailand: So many men dressed as women. They were prettier than me! hehehe. but my goodness, the foods and fruits were good. The massages and manicures were cheap. Seriously, I had a 2 hour massage for ten bucks! and a mani for 3 bucks and a haircut for 6. Now if I can find that job that would pay me a US salary, I would live like a queen in Bangkok.

Japan: things were a bit pricier, and less English spoken here. Who cares. I pointed and found the right foods and sizes. Altho, Japanese girls made me feel fat and weird for not having dyed hair. hehe.

Vegas: Ahh...gambling, strip clubs, movies, shows, odd peeps...I saw it all! I really want to go again! who wants in for my 25th bday? yah?

alright..it's off to DC!
